Meet the Team
Joe
Co-Founder | Flight Instructor
Joe's journey in aviation began in high school, where he earned his Private Pilot License and set his sights on a career in the skies. Now with over 12,000 hours of flight experience and 2,000 hours of instruction, he brings a deep passion for aviation and pilot mentorship to Acceler8 Aviation. Currently a Boeing 787 pilot for United Airlines, he has also flown the B-737, E-175, E-120 and many other aircrafts. He holds CFI, CFII, and MEI certifications. His approach to instruction is centered on safety, mentorship, and career guidance, helping pilots not only earn their ratings but also develop the skills and confidence needed for professional aviation careers.

Jason
Co-Founder | Flight Instructor
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Jason's career began as a CFI working into jobs such as jump pilot, cargo pilot, and medevac. He continued as a charter turbine/jet pilot which eventually led to his current job at United Airlines. He's logged over 6000 hours of flight time and approximately 2000 of dual instruction. He also conducts insurance required mentoring in aircraft such as the Pilatus PC-12 and Citation Jets. By flying in multiple areas of aviation (FAR part 91, 135 and 121), he keeps proficient in all airspace, flight rules and regulations.
His core belief of safety first followed with a passion for flying is sure to bring a fun, positive and successful learning environment that he hopes carry you forward in your future aviation endeavors.
Matthew
Flight Instructor
Matthew is a full-time flight instructor who began his aviation journey in 2021 and has been instructing for the past four years. As a CFI, CFII, and MEI with over 2,000 hours of flight time, he is well-equipped to guide students through every stage of their training.

He was drawn to aviation by the combination of technical skill and knowledge the field requires, along with the opportunity to travel, explore new places, and meet new people. After his first lesson and getting his hands on the controls, he was hooked! He’s always been interested in things that take real effort to master, and aviation continues to challenge him in that way.
​
If he could fly any aircraft, it would be the U-2 spy plane, the closest he could get to being an astronaut. His favorite aviation movie is Top Gun: Maverick. Matthew is all about helping students build their skills and confidence and looks forward to flying with you!
